Xcaret Park
This is a park focused on ecological experiences. It is located in the Riviera Maya in Quintana Roo. It features over 40 different exhibits and allows you to really immerse yourself into nature. Explore the caves, swim through the underground rivers, check out the Mayan ruins, visit the Mexican Folk Art Museum, take in the diverse animal species throughout the park, like the Butterfly Pavilion and the Island of Jaguars, or just watch the live shows, like the Xcaret Mexico Espectacular. Whether you’re 1 or 100, you’ll enjoy Xcaret Park.

Underwater Museum of Art
Established in 2009, the Museo Subacuático de Arte, was created and designed to allow others to enjoy art and at the same time help the environment. There are over 500 sculpture throughout Cancun! They are made out of special materials that help to promote the growth of natural coral life. You don’t have to be a excellent swimmer in order to enjoy this attraction. You can see the sculptures from a glass bottom boat ride or jungle cruise, but if you enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving, you can really get up close to the statues. It’s definitely a surreal and humbling experience and bringing an underwater camera would ensure some breathtaking pictures.

Tulum
Visiting Tulum should be a priority on your next vacation to Cancun, Mexico. Tulum is known as one of the most popular tourist attractions in Mexico. It offers breathtaking views of the coastline, white sugar sand, historical ruins, and pristine beach to lounge on. Just the photographs you can take here and the history of the ancient Mayan ruins are worth the visit, but you might as well take a dip in the water and spend an hour or two soaking  up the serene atmosphere while you’re there.

Cancun Wax Museum
If you’re looking for something a little drier maybe you’d enjoy a trip to the Cancun Wax Museum. Located in La Isla, you can get your picture taken with Albert Einstein, the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Katy Perry, Spiderman, and many more. This is a nice way to get out of the sun for a bit, and there will be lots of great photo ops to take with the whole family.

Ventura Park
This attraction mixes a few different types of parks into one area. They offer a water park, Wet ‘n Wild, which features water slides, lazy rivers, and other water activities. If you’re looking for something a bit more exciting you can head over to Aaa!ventura and enjoy their zip lines, test your fear of heights at the free-fall station, and practice your Tarzan yell on the bungee swings. For families with younger children you can check out Fun World. They have a seaside go-kart track, small roller coaster, and carousel. When the sun starts to set, head to Underworld where you can enjoy an arcade with virtual reality games, bumper cars, and laser tag. They also offer amazing dolphin swims at Dolphinaris.

Dancer Cruise
Spend a day letting loose on the water on the Dancer. The Dancer cruise is a fun party boat with 3 levels, a water slide, and a diving board. They offer a buffet, open bar, and live entertainment as it takes you to Isla Mujeres, where you get a to spend a couple of hours on the island checking out the beautiful and serene atmosphere. The ship heads out at 9am and spends the next 7 hours or so navigating the waves. They also offer dance lessons and allot time for some awesome reef exploration.

Interactive Aquarium
This is an attraction that is opened every day of the year, so it’s easy to plan a trip to. They offer over a thousand aquatic species and has a lot interactive tanks the kids will love. They can pet manta rays and starfish, get their toes tickled by minnows at the fish spa, watch the dolphins perform aquatic acrobatics and even look a Mexican Crocodile in the eyes! You and your family can even enjoy watching an informative video in the auditorium and, if you’re wanting to create a really unforgettable trip, sign up for a Sea Trek and get into the tanks with the fish. Think of it like a moon walk under water!

The Cenotes
The word “cenote” comes from the Mayan name which means “secret well”. These are beautiful wonders are basically sinkholes that fill with water and form caves and underground rivers throughout Mexico. They offer spectacular diving and amazing scenery filled with waterfalls, fish, and turtles. One of the most popular cenotes is Ik-Kil and is over 130 feet deep. You can even swim through a cave into another cenote. This is a great attraction if you’re looking for some relaxation without the huge crowds.

Tequila Herradura Sensory Museum
If you’re coming without the kids, and looking for a more adult-friendly activity, maybe check out the Tequila Herradura Sensory Museum. You are in Cancun after all. This museum will teach you everything you have ever and would ever need to know about tequila: the history, the culture, and the distillation process. They will even go over the proper technique for drinking tequila, so you might even find that you’ve been drinking it all wrong your entire adult life! There will be samples given here, so they do recommend walking or taking a cab if you decide to visit.

Jolly Roger Pirate Ship
If you are looking for a fun dinner adventure that you will remember for a lifetime? Check out the Jolly Roger Pirate Ship. The ship has 4 decks and can fit up to 240 people.
