Splitsville Luxury Lanes
Bowling has never been this amazing. Visiting this themed bowling venue will be unlike any other experience that you have ever had. You might have gone bowling before, but you have never gone bowling like this. This Disney bowling alley in downtown Diseny Springs has every possible amenity that you could want and it is perfect for everyone from the first time bowler to the aspiring professional. You can get drinks, snacks and full meals delivered to your bowling lane from the restaurant that is on-site, and the decor and design is unlike any place you have ever been. This is definitely one of the best reasons to visit Disney Springs.
Wine Bar George with George Miiotes
If you want something unique that you will not find anywhere else in Orlando then you definitely need to visit this Winebar. It will be the only master sommelier-led wine bar in all of Florida, brought to you by the Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill. This venue has an amazing menu created by some of the world’s most famous chefs with Mediterranean food and an incredible Southern California look. There are very few unique places left in the world, and this is a restaurant like no other with food and drinks that cannot be rivaled anywhere. If you’re going to Disney Springs, then you have to stop by, and if you are thinking about going to Disney Springs, then this venue is one of the best reasons to do so.
The “Characters in Flight” Balloon
This is a terrific reason to visit Disney Springs. If you have never been up in a hot air balloon, then you will love this attraction with a massive basket the holds up to 30 people including a pilot. But it’s not about going up in a hot air balloon. You can do that anywhere. This is all about being 400 feet up in the air and getting a look at some of the most incredible venues all over Orlando. You’ll be able to check out all of Disney Springs, as well as the entire Orlando area on a smooth ride like no other.
The Amphicar Ride
This is one of the main reasons that people go to Disney Springs. The amphibious car boathouse is at Disney Springs right in the middle, and this is an experience that you will not soon forget. That’s because the Amphicar is not so much a ride as it is a dining experience. You get to dine in a floating car on the waterfront. You do have to request being seated in a boat table, and there can sometimes be a wait, but it is totally worth it to be able to enjoy your food while floating across the water peacefully. You can also get a guided tour in your Amphicar lasting for a full 20 minutes. There were only 4000 of these amphibious vehicles created in the United States with the last one being produced in 1968.
The Erupting Volcano at Rainforest Café
If you go to Disney Springs, then you will want to eat at the Rainforest Café because the erupting volcano will be worth the entire visit. All you need to do is request a table by the alligator in the front of the restaurant and check out the volcano. Then you can go to the lava lounge for a drink or eat at the Rainforest Café with a really stunning animal theme. This is definitely one of the highlights of the visit to Disney Springs, and the food at the Rainforest Café is pretty incredible as well.
The Dining at Disney Springs
The food at the Rainforest Café is great, but it is not the only place to eat at Disney Springs. In fact, the park offers some really incredible restaurants and food stands that you will love. You will probably not have the time (or stomach space) to try them all, but if you are staying in a nearby hotel or resort, then you definitely do not want to pack a lunch, because the food at Disney Springs is some of the best in Orlando. You can find things like Gothic style restaurants, a venue made to look like a 1920s power plant, fine dining restaurants, ice cream parlors and Irish pubs among others.
The Day and Night Entertainment
You also can’t beat the entertainment at Disney Springs. It doesn’t matter whether you are looking for something fun to do during the day or if you are at the venue at night, you will find plenty to keep you occupied. Disney Springs has something going on at all times. Some of the most unique specialty acts perform there and there is live music all the time. You can go bowling, watch the circus show, or participate in hands-on activities like being placed right in the middle of a NBA game.
The Shopping at Disney Springs
If you love shopping, then you’ll love the stores at Disney Springs. There are lots of stores in Disney Springs, but some of them are really unique and not found in other amusement parks and venues. For example, your kids can design their own T-shirts at Disney Design-a-Tee store, find all of their favorite characters and accessories from there most-loved Disney movies and much more. There are more than 100 stores within Disney Springs so you are sure to find something you want.
The Water Taxis & Ferries
If you haven’t taken a water taxi before; once you do you will realize that it is the preferred way to travel. There are boat rides, ferries, water taxis in other types of water transportation around Disney Springs; not only within the park itself, but also in getting to and from the park. The Walt Disney World water shuttle and water taxis will take you to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios and more; running every 15 to 30 minutes or so.
The Edison at Disney Springs
The Edison at Disney Springs is one of the newest attractions in the park and it is totally centered on Thomas Edison and electricity. It is a restaurant and lounge that we discussed earlier, made to look as if it is a converted power plant. The Edison offers cocktails, high-quality American food and interesting entertainment that you won’t find anywhere else. For the most part, this is a place you can bring your kids, but on the weekends only those 21 and up will be allowed to enter due to the burlesque show. The Edison complex also has other places to eat besides the main restaurant including a pizzeria, a sandwich shop and a speakeasy with an underground tunnel entrance.
